Status: NOT FOR SALE
If someone offers an e-bike that is registered here as NOT FOR SALE, every alarm bell should ring! The clever part: the system warns you even if the rightful owner has not yet noticed the theft (e.g. at night or while on holiday).
Status: STOLEN
A crystal-clear case: hands off! You can never legally acquire ownership of stolen items. If you buy anyway, in the worst case not only is your money gone for good, you may also face charges for receiving stolen goods.
No 100% guarantee
Unfortunately we cannot prevent criminals from stealing a previously unregistered bike and brazenly entering it themselves as FOR SALE in the database. So remember: a "clean" check is no substitute for your common sense when buying!
